About Our Business

I have been making homemade soaps since about 2000.  As I get older, I have become more conscious of making more
natural products/foods and being able to support/care for my own family members (you know, canning, spinning, weaving,
quilting, gardening, etc.)  There are no commercial soaps that can compare with the soothing qualities and soft skin that
result from washing with high quality homemade soaps.  If you haven't tried a good homemade soap lately, do it just once, for
yourself.  You deserve to pamper yourself and your skin will appreciate it!  If you have a teen with problem skin, there is even
a soap for him/her!

These are not melt and pour (M&P) soaps.  They are made from scratch from the freshest of ingredients.  In 2008 I hope to
be using many of the herbs from my garden in the soaps (still working on this!)

The handmade soaps consist of a variety of the following:   coconut oil, palm oil, olive oil, canola oil, vegetable oil, castor oil,
hemp oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, sesame oil, lye (all natural soaps are made with this caustic acid - it chemically reacts
(saponifies) with the oils to make soap!), distilled water, essential oils and fragrance oils.  Other additives (i.e., oatmeal,
cucumbers, goat milk, aloe juice) are also used for specific soaps.  Soap labels will state the exact ingredients of each bar.
